USDA NIFA Seeks Input on Future of Data in Agriculture

Researchers are invited to participate in an online “Ideas Engine” on the future of data in agriculture.

USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture is seeking input to identify the frontiers and future of data in agriculture and to build on existing U.S. government wide-efforts and investments in big data.

Researchers are invited to participate in an online “Ideas Engine” by adding ideas, voting on ideas to rank them, editing ideas, and voting to resolve edits as a group. This leads to collaborative generation of ideas, continually improved ideas, and the best-supported ideas rising to the top. All input will be captured and will be used, together with input from other sources, to help plan future NIFA programs in data and agricultural sciences.

Login to the Ideas Engine.

The engine will remain open for contributions until October 31, 2016 at 5 pm.
