A series of classes for employees with contract and grants administrations duties will be offered July – December through Training & Development (T&D).

The General Resources for the Administration of Sponsored Projects (GRASP) program is a series of classes designed to provide participants with resources for the administration of sponsored projects at UGA. Offered jointly by The Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP) and Contracts & Grants (C&G), these classes provide an overview of campus offices, processes, and systems, as well as reference materials, helpful web sites, and case studies.

The program’s goals are to improve knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures; to strengthen internal controls; and to provide staff members with access to key resources and contacts when they need help. The program is designed for employees with duties and responsibilities related to contract and grant administration. The classes should be completed in the order listed below, as each class builds on the information presented in previous classes.

The T&D 2015 course listing covering classes July – September will be available July 2 at https://www.hr.uga.edu/training. The classes are listed as GRASP: (name of class) in the course schedule. Classes will be offered on two dates. Dates are subject to change.  Please refer to the T&D course listing for final dates/times.

If you have questions about GRASP, please contact Melissa Mottley at mottley@uga.edu or 706-542-5967.
