New Director for Grants & Contracts
Angelo Chrisomalis, director of Research Administration and Finance for Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute, has been named as the University of Georgia’s Director for Contracts & Grants, effective April 6.
Angelo Chrisomalis, director of Research Administration and Finance for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, has been named as the University of Georgia’s Director for Contracts & Grants, effective April 6.
As the Director of Research Administration and Finance, Angelo provides leadership and oversight of the Institute’s post-award office by supporting principal investigators and departmental administration in the management of fiscal reporting to sponsors.
Angelo’s new responsibilities include oversight of the department’s key functions including cash management for approximately $250 million in revenue, expenditure reporting and invoicing for over 2,800 new awards annually and receivables and collections with an average rolling monthly balance of $20 million. He will lead the effort in providing support and service to faculty and staff in management of sponsored projects as he continues the efforts under way to enhance the partnership with the Office for Sponsored Programs.
