Research Stores

All laboratory chemical and supply orders can now be processed using UGAmart. More information on this process can be found on the Scientific Supplies and Materials page and by viewing this short video.

How to Order

Use one of these options to place your order:

  • Order online through UGAmart.
  • Visit the locations listed below.

The different locations stock different specialties, as noted below.

  • All locations are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • All locations serve researchers with research account numbers; only the Chemistry Stockroom serves students.

Central Research Store maintains an emergency supply of liquid nitrogen. Small dewars can be refilled at our warehouse. Limited delivery is available. This service should be treated as emergency only, not as a primary source. A chart string is required to place an order. Orders for emergency nitrogen can be submitted through our punch-out in UGAmart.

The UGA Scientific Stockroom – Cedar Street (formerly Chemistry Stockroom) provides IN STOCK AND AVAILABLE TODAY scientific supplies for teaching and research laboratories at UGA, students, and employees.

In-stock life sciences products from: Qiagen, Promega, Fisher, VWR Scientific, New England Biolabs, Sigma, Bio-Rad, Roche, Stratagene, Amersham, National Diagnostics, and more.

In stock and available today items include:

  • Ethanol – 5 gallon cubitainers – 190- & 200-proof
  • Liquid Nitrogen – Small dewar refills
  • Dry Ice – Pellets by the pound
  • Research Chemicals – Assorted Solvents, Acids, Bases, & Dry Chemicals

The Coverdell Stockroom is conveniently located in Coverdell Biomedical Center to serve faculty there and the surrounding area such as the  College of Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, and Miller Plant Sciences.  This stockroom specializes in life sciences products from suppliers such as Fisher Scientific, VWR, Sigma, Bio-Rad, New England Biolabs, GE, Promega, and Roche.
