Resources to Assist with Experimental Design
A robust experimental design is vital for a successful research project, and the appropriate stewardship of animal subjects. The NC3Rs Experimental Design Assistant Tool (EDA) is a free online tool that can be used to build an experimental plan diagram. The NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) has released a webinar that explains how to use the tool.
Below are links to these resources.

- Experimental Design Assistant (EDA) (National Centre for the Replacement Refinement & Reduction of Animals in Research)
The EDA is a web application and supporting website with which researchers can build an experimental design and receive real-time advice and feedback. - OLAW Webinar “Improving experimental design: Ethical implications and how the Experimental Design Assistant (EDA) can help”
This webinar demonstrates how the EDA can be utilized.
