Attention University of Georgia researchers and creative scholars! We know you love your work. Do you love it enough to wear it around forever?

We’re looking for a few good tattoos from researchers and scholars across the university enterprise to compete in the UGA Research Tattoo Contest. Just submit a (SFW)* photo of your tattoo that relates in some way to your scholarly discipline, and you’re in!

Winners will be selected by a panel of four expert judges, selected for their experience in the ink industry and their familiarity with body art and illustration. The top three entries will receive prizes of Bulldog gear from the UGA Bookstore—and be featured on the @UGAResearch news site. All entrants will be invited to pick up a UGA Research swag bag!

Criteria

Entries will be evaluated according to:
• Overall creativity
• Technical skill & quality
• Connection/relevance to owner’s academic program

• 1st place:

Handcrafted UGA/Georgia wall art by Lazer Edge PLUS a $50 account voucher to Pink Goblin Tattoo & Piercing

• 2nd place:

UGA Pack n Go Jacket by Champion (winner selects size & color)

• 3rd place:

UGA 30oz Rambler Tumbler by Yeti

How to enter

All contest entrants must be currently enrolled and/or employed UGA students, faculty, or staff. Limit one entry per person. Deadline for submission is Friday, April 18, and winners will be announced on National Tattoo Day, July 17.
