Undergraduate Research Support: CURO Undergraduate Research Awards

Anticipated Available Support:

  • FY23-FY30: Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) Awards for 10 students/year @ $1,000 per student.

Description: Starting in FY23, UGARI leadership will put out an annual call for proposals to UGA faculty indicating the availability of CURO Undergraduate Research Awards in support of collaborative research between UGA faculty and SRNL scientists.

Priority for allocation of CURO Undergraduate Research Awards will be determined as follows:

Category 1 (High Priority):  Clear evidence that award would support collaborative research efforts involving UGA faculty and SRNL scientists (can be collection of pilot data or contributions to ongoing research).

Category 2 (Medium Priority):  Clear evidence that the award would go to support research intended to build collaborative research efforts between UGA faculty and a particular disciplinary competency within the SRNL (can be collection of pilot data or contributions to ongoing research).
