Clinical research cannot happen without volunteers like you!

The University of Georgia invites anyone interested in volunteering for health-related and medical research studies to register with ResearchMatch.org, a secure, easy-to-use online volunteer registry.  Funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), researchers from academic institutions like UGA use ResearchMatch to find volunteers who are a “match” for their study.

Individuals of all ages and health conditions, including those who are healthy, may register.  A parent, legal guardian, or caretaker can register a child under 18 years old, or register an adult who may not be able to join on their own.  Registering with ResearchMatch is free and takes 5 to 10 minutes.  When you register, you are not participating in any particular study; it simply indicates your willingness to be contacted about studies that may be a good fit for you.  Your name and contact information are not released to the researcher until you indicate you would like to know more about their research study.

Studies available on ResearchMatch include online surveys that can be completed without leaving the comfort of your home as well as studies that involve in-person participation at the research site, usually on the UGA campus, at UGA’s Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU), or a local health care facility.  All studies must be reviewed and approved by an institutional ethics or review board before UGA researchers can post to ResearchMatch.

ResearchMatch is also available in Spanish!  Volunteers can sign-up in Spanish and receive Spanish messages from ResearchMatch about research studies.
