CoreServe (Core Facility Business Services) provides business support services to research core facilities across the university.
New core labs may use CoreServe’s consulting services to develop service pricing, create business plans and devise business projections. Existing core facilities may also seek assistance regarding pricing revisions, annual Office of Research reporting metrics, and advice about purchasing new instrumentation or equipment.
Recognizing that each research core facility has different business needs, CoreServe can provide specific assistance and resources ranging from basic accounting and payroll to developing business plans and analyzing potential software products.
CoreServe partners with specialists from other Office of Research units, including IT Operations and Research Communications to assist research core facility directors and management staff with all aspects of business operations, planning, information technology, marketing and financial forecasting.
