April 2016 Spotlighted Entrepreneur – Robert Woods

Robert Woods, professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, and chemistry, and researcher in the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, received his B.Sc.(Honors) in engineering chemistry in 1985 and his Ph.D. in 1990 in computational and synthetic organic chemistry from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Woods serves as president and co-founder of Glycosensors and Diagnostics, an early-stage biotechnology company commercializing enabling technologies for applications in glycoscience. In 2014, Dr. Woods was honored with the UGARF Academic Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
