Kelley Moremen, Distinguished Research Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, is a member of the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center (CCRC) at UGA. In July 2018, Moremen launched Glyco Expression Technologies, Inc., a startup based on the innovative mammalian expression technology developed in his lab. The lab has developed proprietary expression vector technologies and a library of more than 350 expression constructs to produce enzymatic reagents as a novel resource for the glycoscience community. The expression platform has the capacity to provide high-throughput custom production of complex glycosylated biomolecules for research and industry.
