UGA Fall 2020 I-Corps Week 2 Recap

Week 2 of UGA’s Fall 2020 I-Corps cohort featured presentations by each team covering their progress, as well as lectures from the teaching team about customer segments and interview skills.

Week 2 of UGA’s Fall 2020 I-Corps cohort featured presentations by each team covering their progress, as well as lectures from the teaching team about customer segments and interview skills. Over the previous week, teams had worked on creating testable hypotheses and conducting their first customer interviews. The following teams are participating in UGA I-Corps this semester:

  • VR Communications (Sun Joo “Grace” Ahn, Matthew Klein, Andrew Rukangu and Kyle Johnsen): using immersive technology to provide a platform for customized social interactions.
  • RD3 (Bill Cangelosi, Antoinette Morkeh, Megha Patel, David Sutherland and Ramana Pidaparti): developing a diagnostic tool for bronchial diseases.
  • SkiNN (John Gibbs, Ben Flanders, Dylan Pozorski, Anthony Leicke and Weixuan Liu): developing editing tools for 3D artists.
  • WunderGRUBS (Akissi Stokes and Karim Nelson): using edible insects to address food insecurity challenges.
  • Proteios.io (William Rittmeyer, Lauren Wilson, Jack Barnes and Thomas Croland): creating a web-based platform for genetic researchers.
  • Seed Depth (Wesley Porter, Simerjeet Virk and Karan Jadhav): developing a depth sensor for seeds.
  • Agriculture Nerds (Bill Lanzillota and Johnny Gamble): developing high-quality, environmentally-conscious protein products.
  • Theramoebics (Stephen Ansel, Jessie Boatner, David Sutherland and Chris Rice): developing a therapeutic for Acanthamoeba keratitis.
  • Infiltron Software Suite (Chastity Wright and Elias Rodriguez): creating real-time solutions for data protection and security.
  • Crich Lab Ventures (Mike Pirrone, Vikram Sarpe, and David Crich): developing a new method to enhance drug discovery programs.
  • Kapra (Shubh Trivedi and Eshan Bhojane): creating virtual tools for online clothes shoppers.
  • HGG Research (Tai L. Guo, Bela “Guannan” Huang, Yuan Si and Yingjia Chen): making dietary supplements that promote a healthier immune system.
