Startup 101

Whether you’re new to entrepreneurship or exploring how your research can make a broader impact, Startups 101 offers accessible, one-off seminars that focus on real-world skills and strategies. Sessions are open to UGA faculty, staff, students, and community members who want to better understand the startup process, from forming an idea to bringing it to market.

Each seminar is led by experienced professionals and covers topics like:

  • Pitching your idea effectively
  • Finding and applying for funding
  • Understanding intellectual property
  • Navigating legal and financial basics
  • Using AI in your startup workflow
  • Building your brand and marketing strategy
