Nadja Zeltner is an associate professor in UGA’s Center for Molecular Medicine and the principal investigator on a project that could help improve treatment of patients suffering from familial dysautonomia, a rare genetic disease that can cause developmental delays, frequent pneumonia and other debilitating challenges. The findings were published in a recent issue of “Nature Communications.”
