The UGA Instrument Design and Fabrication Shop might be located a few miles off main campus, but it plays an integral role in research conducted throughout the university. Instrument Shop workers use their expertise to manufacture and repair equipment for experimental endeavors, making much of UGA research possible.
The shop is defined by open spaces and big machinery that the team uses to stay on the cutting edge of machining. Many IDFS creations have never even been created before, allowing UGA research to remain a leader in innovation.
If you think that the IDFS could help you in any experimental endeavor, the team there urges you to reach out.
