At the University of Georgia, cutting-edge research isn’t just about big ideas—it’s about having the right tools and expertise to bring those ideas to life.

Behind the groundbreaking discoveries, a network of specialized core research facilities provides researchers with service and support for everything from bio-imaging and advanced computing to isotope geochemistry and complex carbohydrate analysis.

This month, Research Communications is highlighting three directors of UGA Office of Research Core Facilities and Research Services who have demonstrated leadership in advancing their fields: Parastoo Azadi of the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center (CCRC), Carla Hadden of the Center for Applied Isotope Studies (CAIS), and Tina Salguero of Georgia Electron Microscopy (GEM). These women are driving scientific progress while mentoring the next generation of researchers
