[\/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”2\/3″][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Do members of the public, business leaders, domestic bureaucrats, and politicians care about their country’s international obligations? About violations of those obligations? If so, how and when do they affect domestic policy and politics? The Global Recipes, Locally Grown team brings together scholars of international relations and international law to explore the relationship between international law and domestic politics and begin to answer some of those questions. Team-members share expertise in international trade and finance, human rights, civil and interstate conflict, international environmental law, and international business, but are divided by methodology and training. The goal of this collaboration is to explore ways to bridge those methodological gaps and generate projects combining experimental, quantitative\/statistical, qualitative, and legal analyses. The hope is that cross-methodological discussions will generate new research questions and research plans inspired by insights from the study of both law and politics. Today\u2019s global challenges require effective interactions between international governance and domestic implementation. Better understanding the domestic politics of international law and institution is an essential ingredient.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
