The RTS Group supports faculty in securing and executing externally funded grants to support innovative training of the research workforce.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1773416544316{padding-top: 1px !important;padding-right: 15px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;padding-left: 15px !important;background-color: #FFEEAD !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Need help on a training grant?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you are planning to submit a training grant of any sort, or even just considering it, please reach out to us &#8212; we\u2019re here to help. Contact the RTS Group as early in your planning and development process as possible. See the current <a href=\"https:\/\/research.uga.edu\/team-research\/training-grants\/\">training grants<\/a> programs at NIH and NSF.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What support do we provide?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Training grants are integrative activities that require touch points across campus. Based on the type of training grant you are pursuing, the RTS Group will provide you a <em>Coordinating Home Unit<\/em> for your training grant \u2013 usually either the Graduate School or the Office of\u00a0Academic and Community Engagement, depending on program type &#8212; that will help you with these touch points as you develop your proposal as well as support you through execution of the grant once awarded. The <em>Coordinating Home Unit<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provides a single administrative point of contact for PIs to address strategic decisions or crosscutting institutional issues that arise,<\/li>\n<li>Liaises with the RTS Group and others on campus to assist the PI with program-specific issues, and<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates communication when needed between the PI and academic programs, in order to help answer questions and address concerns from either.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What Institutional Support is Available?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>We\u2019ll work with you to align available institutional support to create the strongest program.
