Minority Research Symposium – Nov. 6

The Minority Research Symposium is an opportunity for underrepresented undergraduates to present what they have learned through their research to a larger audience.

The Minority Research Symposium is an opportunity for underrepresented undergraduates to present what they have learned through their research to a larger audience. The Abeneefoo Kuo Honor Society as well as the Louis Stokes’ Alliance for Minority Participation will coordinate this event. The objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for minority students, faculty, and the community to discuss cutting edge research topics and to examine the connection between research and education. It will include projects from all research disciplines and encourages interdisciplinary discourse, allowing students to learn from each other about a broad range of exciting research topics.

The event will take place on November 6th, 2020 and will be completely virtual. We require applicants to submit their works and other necessary materials via an online application. This event benefits the students at the University of Georgia, providing opportunities for all students to present research from their respective research groups and labs to a wider audience. All students are welcome to apply. However, we ask that research groups include at least one student from a minority group. The application link can be accessed via https://ugeorgia.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4UCFXs49AKb0fpX.
