This change affects use of eRA Commons module used for NIH proposals, awards, just-in-time-submission and progress report submissions. It also impacts use of browsers for eRA Assist, IAR and iEdison.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What This Means for You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With this policy, some web browser versions will no longer work. You may need to update your web browser to continue using eRA modules. Here is a list of browsers and versions that will still work properly following the update:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/chrome\/\">Google Chrome\u00ae\u00a0<\/a> version 4.0.211.0 and higher<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/new\/\">Firefox\u00ae\u00a0<\/a>version 4 and higher;\u00a0with Firefox 17,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/\">Mozilla\u00ae<\/a>\u00a0integrates a list of websites supporting the new protocol<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/17621\/internet-explorer-downloads\">Internet Explorer\u00ae 11\u00a0<\/a>on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/help\/15356\/windows-8-install-update-kb-2919355\">Windows\u00ae 8.1\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/products\/windows?os=windows-7\">Windows\u00ae 7\u00a0<\/a>when\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/kb\/3058515\">KB 3058515<\/a>\u00a0or higher is installed (Released on Windows Update in June 2015)<\/p>\n<p>Note: These three are also the browsers eRA uses to develop and test its modules for browser compatibility, as listed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/era.nih.gov\/browser_support_ext.cfm\">eRA Browser Compatibility<\/a> statement.
