Below is a summary of these updates.&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]\r\n<p><strong>Key Changes<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>1. Terminology Update<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Remote Research Affiliates will now be referred to as Remote Visiting Researchers\/Scholars (Remote VRS).<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Information for both VRS and Remote VRS will be consolidated on the VRS webpage to provide clear and comprehensive details in one place.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>2. Unified Registration Form<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Registration requests for both VRS and Remote VRS will be submitted via a single request form on <a href=\"https:\/\/uga.infoready4.com\/\">UGA\u2019s InfoReady Portal<\/a>.<!-- wp:list --><br \/>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Requesters will specify whether the request is for a VRS or a Remote VRS.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Faculty Sponsor \u201cAction Required\u201d email approvals of request submissions will no longer be required.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>InfoReady features include:<!-- wp:list --><br \/>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Ability to save draft applications and return later to complete them.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Capability to initiate multiple requests.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Status tracking of submissions under the requesters \u201cApplications\u201d tab when logged in to InfoReady.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Extension requests for both VRS and Remote VRS will also use a single form on InfoReady.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>The request forms for new registrations and extensions will be accessible via the links on the <a href=\"https:\/\/research.uga.edu\/visiting\/\">website<\/a> once posted.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->3. <strong>Updated Agreements<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>New Agreements for VRS and Remote VRS:<!-- wp:list --><br \/>\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>The existing VRS Agreements have been updated for electronic signing capability and will now require the signature of the UGA Faculty Sponsor on page 2.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>The existing Remote Research Affiliate Agreements will be renamed to Remote Visiting Researcher\/Scholar Agreement, will have electronic signature capability and also require the UGA Faculty Sponsor to sign on page 2.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li><em>There is a grace period through January 20, 2025, for new VRS requests in which Faculty Sponsors have already initiated the signing process with his\/her VRS using the previous version of the VRS Agreement that did not require the UGA Faculty Sponsor signature.<\/em><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item --><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Given that updates to VRS\/Remote VRS Agreements may occur, please return to the website to download the appropriate document <strong><em>each time<\/em><\/strong> you need an agreement.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph --><strong>4. VRS Webpages<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>The VRS and Remote VRS information will be consolidated on the <a href=\"https:\/\/research.uga.edu\/visiting\/\">existing VRS webpages<\/a> for ease of access.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>While these updates have not yet been implemented on the website, they will be available soon. New Operations Associate<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<!-- wp:list -->\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>Starting January 2025, Nathan White will join the Office of Research\u2019s IGARP division as the Operations Associate responsible for VRS and Remote VRS registration procedures.<\/li>\r\n<!-- \/wp:list-item -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:list-item -->\r\n<li>We extend our gratitude to Moriah for her contributions over the past two years and welcome Nathan to the team.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list-item -->\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p><!-- \/wp:list -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->We appreciate your patience as we transition to these new processes and bring new staff on board.
