The emphasis for the renewal will be on rethinking the process of turning observations in the laboratory, clinic, and community into interventions that improve the health of individuals and the public\u2014from diagnostics and therapeutics to medical procedures and behavioral changes. This emphasis creates interesting opportunities for new, multidisciplinary research collaborations.\u00a0<u>Letters of intent for funding proposals are due Sept. 2, 2025<\/u>. The council advises the NIH director and the director of the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives (DPCPSI) on policies and activities. It also makes recommendations regarding research in emerging scientific opportunities, public health challenges, or knowledge gaps that require special emphasis and would benefit from collaboration between two or more national research institutes or centers. In this session, Sanchez will share insights for developing relationships with NIH program managers and crafting successful funding proposals.
