“Effort” No Longer Required on No-Cost Extension Form
PIs or Co-PIs are no longer required to mark on the No Cost Extension (NCE) form whether effort will be reduced or stay the same during the award extension period.

The new NCE form is now available for use on the Office for Sponsored Programs website https://research.uga.edu/docs/forms/osp/pdf/No-Cost-Extension-Request.pdf
Additionally, there is no longer a requirement to complete the financial conflict of interest certification on the form; this can now be done through the eResearch Portal.
This is a first step in a continuing effort toward full functionality of the NCE request via the Portal, which will further reduce administrative burden for faculty.
