The President’s Cabinet recently endorsed changes to UGA’s Research Misconduct Policy following a periodic review. The update better aligns applicability of the policy with other university policies related to student academic honesty and codes of conduct, as well as to comply with new Student Misconduct Hold and Revocation of Degree Guidelines. The updates further clarify language about research misconduct related to administrative actions by the university, as well as the appeals process. The Research Misconduct Policy is applicable to all individuals at UGA engaged in scientific and scholarly research.
Dr. Christopher King, associate vice president for research integrity and safety, is the university’s research integrity officer and is responsible for administering the Research Misconduct Policy.
