Summer Research Fellowships with Center for Social Justice, Human and Civil Rights

The Center for Social Justice, Human and Civil Rights is offering four summer research fellowships for tenured or tenure-track professors to write grants and propose projects that promise success in acquiring extramural grants to be administered under the unit’s auspices.

Summer support will be considered for any excellent project designed to advance the Center’s mission of social justice, human and civil rights. In particular the Center is focused in 2014-2015 on actualizing public programs that nurture and develop young black men into productive citizens.

Stipends will be $2,500 for each award. Interested scholars are asked to submit no more than a three-page synopsis singled-spaced, two letters of support, including one from the departmental head, and a curriculum vita by November 15, 2014 to Dr. R. Baxter Miller ( Awards will be announced by mid-February.
