Office for Proposal Enhancement
New Investigator Proposal Planning
This service is ideal for individual faculty who are new to submitting research proposals. We also work with faculty submitting to a particular agency for the first time. For example, if you’re experienced with NSF but brand new to NIH proposals, we can help you!
We’ll work with you to ensure that your proposal meets all requirements of an RFP, provide expert advice on proposal preparation, and recommend a document completion timeline. Requests for assistance should be made at least 8 weeks prior to the deadline.
Services include:
- Consulting on agency guidelines and your project’s fit to the RFP
- Strategy sessions on optimizing your responsiveness to the RFP
- Creating a checklist and timeline for completing all proposal parts
- Drafting an outline for your project description based on the solicitation, agency priorities, and review criteria, and outlines for other complex pieces if applicable
- Editing services
