Alissa Eckert (\u201904) and Dan Higgins (\u201993), both medical illustrators for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a>, have meticulously studied the structure of the virus, using research from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwpdb.org\/\">World Protein Data Bank<\/a>, as well as collaborating with health communicators and scientists with expertise in viral diseases.
