The University of Georgia cohosted the 14th annual National Academy of Inventors conference on June 23-26 in Atlanta, where it celebrated the induction of eight new Senior Members and one new Fellow into the academy. One of the highest recognitions for innovators, the new members highlight the university’s impact and leadership in the space.

Innovation Gateway Executive Director Derek Eberhart welcomed attendees in an opening address at the conference and was also recognized as an honorary NAI member. He spoke on a panel about the evolving field of technology transfer in higher education. Other highlights at the conference included presentations and performances from UGA innovators like Kelly Catlin, Boyce Clark, Jan Perkins, and Karen Berg.
