As Hollywood awards season closes out, the University of Georgia puts out its own red carpet for exceptional scholarship.

For 44 years, the university has honored faculty and students who have demonstrated significant achievements in their respective fields through research, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.

This year’s recipients are being honored at a banquet on April 20 as part of UGA’s Honors Week activities. The Research Awards program is sponsored by the University of Georgia Research Foundation.
