In April of this year, the 46th annual University of Georgia Research Awards and 26th annual Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) Symposium took place on campus. Both events celebrate research excellence at the university, the former for faculty who are often years into their research careers and the latter for students who may be gaining their first exposure.
With two events demonstrating the wide range of UGA research activity, the Office of Research Communications was interested in learning a little more about their research backgrounds. Specifically, what were their research goals at the outset of their careers—academic or professional—and how have those changed over time?
