As an institution meeting these criteria, the University of Georgia has both a legal and ethical obligation to act in accordance with NAGPRA regulations outlined in <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><a style=\"color: #800000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2023\/12\/13\/2023-27040\/native-american-graves-protection-and-repatriation-act-systematic-processes-for-disposition-or\">43 CFR Part 10<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">UGA&#8217;s compliance efforts are overseen by the NAGPRA Committee, operating in conjunction with the Office of Research Integrity &amp; Safety and the Laboratory of Archaeology.
