Branch<\/a>, department of crop and soil sciences, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, was licensed to multiple companies.<\/li>\n<li>One of the Innovation Gateway members participated in the First Year Odyssey Seminar hosted by <a href=\"https:\/\/coe.uga.edu\/directory\/profiles\/jmativo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Mativo<\/a> from the department of career and information studies, College of Education.<\/li>\n<li>The Innovation Gateway incubator hosted an open house during Thinc. Week providing tours of tenant startup companies.<\/li>\n<li>UGARF and a U.S.-India company entered into a license agreement pertaining to a technology developed by James Stringham, department of psychology, Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, that uses lutein, a naturally occurring carotenoid, for improvement of mental health.<\/li>\n<li>A wheat variety developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Jerry-Johnson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jerry Johnson<\/a>, department of crop and soil sciences, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, was licensed.<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative development agreement was established between <a href=\"https:\/\/vel.engr.uga.edu\/?q=node\/8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyle Johnsen<\/a>, College of Engineering, and UGA startup <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cogenteducation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cogent Education<\/a> for the creation of educational software.<\/li>\n<li>Multiple blueberry varieties developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Scott-NeSmith.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scott NeSmith<\/a>, department of horticulture, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, were optioned or licensed to multiple companies in the U.S.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exclusive license was completed with UGA startup WeRecycle for technology developed by Jenna Jambeck, Kyle Johnson, Eliana Mozo Reyes and Colby Sweet, all of the College of Engineering.
