Branch<\/a>, department of crop and soil sciences, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, were non-exclusively licensed to multiple companies.<\/li>\n<li>The Krewer blueberry variety developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Scott-NeSmith.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scott NeSmith<\/a>, department of horticulture, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, was non-exclusively licensed.<\/li>\n<li>Heidi Riviere Kelley, a supervisory patent examiner at the U.S. Patent Office handling patent applications in the Chemical and Material Arts, spoke with faculty, staff, and students from the College of Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Representatives from the Klarquist Sparkman law firm led patent strategy discussions in the department of infectious disease and College of Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>Testing agreements for multiple varieties of turfgrass developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Brian-Schwartz.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brian Schwartz<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Paul-Raymer.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Raymer<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Wayne-Hanna.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wayne Hanna<\/a>, department of crop and soil sciences, were completed for the U.S., Spain and Japan.<\/li>\n<li>Gateway team members attended the Sixth Annual Academic &amp; Industry Intersection Conference at Morehouse School of Medicine featuring public-private partnerships, startup creation and technology commercialization. <a href=\"https:\/\/medicalpartnership.usg.edu\/directory\/faculty_staff\/murrow-jonathan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Jonathan Murrow<\/a>, professor of medicine, GRU\/UGA Medical Partnership, and co-founder of Infrared Rx participated in the startup Shark Tank session. Infrared Rx is developing technology to benefit patients with peripheral artery disease.<\/li>\n<li>Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybean variety developed in part by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Zhenglu-Li.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zenglu Li<\/a>, department of crop and soil sciences, was exclusively licensed.<\/li>\n<li>Vaccines for influenza and mumps, developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/vet.uga.edu\/id\/people\/he-b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biao He<\/a>, department of infectious diseases, were licensed to an international start-up company.<\/li>\n<li>Innovation Gateway staff participated in an AUTM continuing education workshop, \u201cCommunicating value to stakeholders.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>A wheat variety developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantbreeding.uga.edu\/people\/Jerry-Johnson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jerry Johnson<\/a>, department of crop and soil sciences, was exclusively licensed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Multiple peanut varieties developed by William D.
