Ralph Tripp is a professor of infectious diseases, a Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar and Chair of Animal Health Vaccine Development, and a recipient of the UGA Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Ralph Tripp is a professor of infectious diseases, a Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar and Chair of Animal Health Vaccine Development, and a recipient of the UGA Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Tripp is also a co-founder of several biotechnology companies including Argent Diagnostics, which developed diagnostic test solutions using a proprietary nanotechnology platform, and Hypercell Technologies, LLC, which is dedicated to the development of high-affinity monoclonal antibodies (MAb) that will offer new therapeutic solutions against serious infectious diseases where vaccination has been proven ineffective. Tripp’s latest venture, Proventus Bio, is a synthetic biology company focused on engineering high-yield cell line substrates for the manufacturing of viral vaccine antigens, recombinants, and therapeutic recombinant protein products.
