As the Innovation District moves forward and the entrepreneurship ecosystem continues to thrive at UGA, we want to make sure that our programs are truly inclusive and represent the diversity of our campus. To facilitate this goal, a focused Innovation Bootcamp program has been developed that will deliver tailored training in order to equip attendees with the key skills needed for success in an innovative, entrepreneurial environment. Over the course of seven weeks, the cohort will meet weekly to learn firsthand about the basics of commercialization and targeted skill-building, as well as receive one-on-one support from experienced coaches, many of whom are successful entrepreneurs.
The Spring 2020 Bootcamp, which has been designed specifically to examine the unique challenges faced by female entrepreneurs, begins Feb. 18 and runs through March 31. This program is open to all faculty, staff and postdoctoral fellows. Future sessions are planned that examine the entrepreneurial environment for additional cohorts, such as graduate students and faculty in non-STEM fields. Participants should complete their application by February 3rd and those selected will be notified by February 7th.
To maximize the learning experience, it is important for the cohort to go through the bootcamp together. Please review the Innovation Bootcamp schedule below prior to committing to this workshop. The program includes a mixture of class sessions, group project time, and one-on-one coaching. Participants should be prepared to spend 4-5 hours total per week in the program.
