Eileen J. Kennedy, assistant professor in the department of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, College of Pharmacy, is developing novel chemical tools to study and manipulate biological signaling pathways in cells. Dr. Kennedy creates unique, stabilized biological compounds that can disrupt protein-protein interactions involved in signaling networks that may become aberrant during a disease state. This work ultimately aims to develop new research tools and therapeutic drugs for conditions ranging from cancer to atherosclerosis to parasitic diseases.
