Startup company Molecular Therapeutics, founded by Dr. Branson Ritchie in the College of Veterinary Medicine, manufactures the FDA-cleared antimicrobial solutions Silvion® and Silvaklenz®. These solutions have been proven to kill today’s most pathogenic bacteria and fungi including multiple-drug-resistant bacteria such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumanii and Enterococcus faecalis.
