While Proposal Enhancement offers a full suite of services for large, complex proposals, we also offer editing services for any research proposal with sufficient lead time. We’ll work to clarify your writing and ensure that your proposal is fully responsive to the RFP.

We offer two levels of editing. Here’s an overview of our editing services:

In-Depth Editing Services (with lead time of 8 weeks’ notice)

• Copyediting for concision, clarity, and impact
• Rhetorical strategies for strengthening the argument for funding
• Ensuring that the proposal fully addresses the specifics of the solicitation and the priorities of the agency
• Review of supporting documents (e.g., biosketch, facilities & equipment)
• Scientific developmental editing (limited availability)

Basic Editing Services (with lead time of 4 weeks’ notice)

• Full Proposals:
  • Copyediting for concision, clarity, and impact
• Key proposal segments including introductory sections, Project Summaries, Broader Impacts, Specific Aims, and/or Significance and Innovation sections under 6 pages total:
  • Copyediting for concision, clarity, and impact
  • Rhetorical strategies for strengthening the argument for funding
